The adventure continues at the after party….

I did not realize I was being watched as I operated a knuckleboom crane for the first time… It unfolds from the huge truck like a Transformer in bullet time.

There is a wireless control pod hanging from my neck that gives remarkable precise control over the unfolding arm. I felt like I had sub-centimeter accuracy on placement without a fear of overshooting.

And it’s an incredible tool. I could have reached over to the people snapping the photos and lifted their SUV up and over the roofline to the flatbed in the rear.

We lifted a garbage can instead. =)

  2. Is what I want to be when I grow up – a crane operator. (Second choice is Engine Driver, 3rd choice is Bulldozer Driver)

  3. Hmmm, now I know how they got the police car on the dome at MIT lol

  5. More evidence that our children will have to be adept at working with computers. The kid with the best video game skills will handle this like a pro!

  6. Seems like Transforms invaded 🙂

  7. What the Autobot needs is an artificial Mind of its own to think with.
