Poor guy, he just wanted so much to be a real horse that he ran away from the circus carousel to go to the country and mingle among the real horses. Unfortunately, without little children to ride him each day, his energy waned and he fell into the ditch lifeless. He needs a proper burial!
If this is close to where you live Steve, (I think I recognize the gully) it is a dummy used for training our Fire Dept in "large animal rescue". We have recently added training and equipment to deal with situations like this, but prefer to avoid practicing on the real thing which can be unnecessarily risky to rescuer and rescuee… Upto now, our firefighters have been confronted with a couple of incidents for which neither their training nor their equipment was as good as we could have wished. (How would you get a panicky horse out of a swimming pool?)
And I wonder How would you REMOVE a DUMMY horse out of a HIKING AREA UNLESS you physically take it with you?
I thought you were lot better than us, pollution and waste wise… the explanation that ii is a dummy doesn’t make up for the facts that it’s dump left down there…
