  1. keep thinking about Obama’s eyes… will be back to this topic.
Your portraits are amazing (especially when it comes to political leaders, your cousin’s school?:) learning from you here, but i am a hopeless student.

  2. If Obama approves the Keystone Pipeline Project, he will NOT receive my vote in November 2012.

Frankly, I have never been so disllusioned & disappointed with a politician I have previously supported than I am with Obama.

Even with the so-called "crisis" in Europe, I regret–every day, having allowed my EU visa to have expired!

  3. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/shoshin-seishu] As far as I can tell its just a pipeline. Am I missing something?

  4. "(J)ust a ‘pipeline’?"

I suggest learning more about the Keystone XL project, particularly about the consequences its construction would have on the environment, global climate & climate "behavior," & water sources–not to mention its hugely negative cost-benefit (from a purely economic perspective) outcome.

For starters, you may refer to this Wikipedia piece: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keystone_Pipeline

  5. Great news!!! Do not want to offend anybody by being straightforward but good for this country that Palin’s family comes first:) my opinion is that she has the intellect of a good size chicken.

"Sarah Palin announced Wednesday she is not running for president.
Palin earlier announced her intentions on a conservative radio show.
In a statement she issued to the Mark Levin Show and read by Levin on the air, Palin said:
"After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking 2012 GOP nomination for president of the United states. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision."
"By working together we can bring this country back — and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it," she said.
"It’s not about me, it’s about all of us who are trying to wake up America."

  6. Solerana,

May I observe that you have now insulted…chickens 🙂

  7. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/solerena] "As always, my family comes first" Huh?
Isn’t the traditional batting order of right wing priorities:
God, Country and then Family? So she got the ok from God to put her family ahead of her country. What kind of God is that? Maybe if she is a Satanic breeder woman and has to produce or adopt the anti-christ. I do think Joe McGinniss is right, that she is the high school mean girl. But I would never have thought she is also really a disciple of Satan. She is a bit scary and always wearing red. Plus, if it is Satan he can bend the rules about age and insemination limits. Like she could still bear his child from that basketball tryst. Don’t count her out just yet.

  8. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/shoshin-seishu] I read up on it. Its still just a pipeline. More people blaming pollution on the resource instead of how the resource is used (i.e. burning). Pipelines on land have little potential for environmental catastrophe simply because even a major leak is containable (no ocean to carry it everywhere) . So they are relatively easy to cleanup. Look at the track record of the Alyeska pipeline. A leak here and there but no environmental catastrophes and that pipeline went through a 7.2 magnitude earthquake without a hitch.

  9. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/shoshin-seishu] If you don’t like pipelines you will really like fracking as a clean alternative. The way they can get the science denial machine running for it is really impressive. When geologists go bad. Doggone those earthquakes.
