Looking straight up.

I have never seen this perspective before, and I took a guess as to how close I could get without losing the camera.

Will be definitely trying this again. Frame sequence below.

  2. My god, it’s full of stars!

  3. =) while dodging the asteroids to escape the Tie Fighters.

  4. Really wild, Steve! Time to invest in another camera, shield it in some kind of makesshift windowed box and set it off by remote shutter. Bet you could make a collection of fantastic photos.

  5. Wowowowowoowowowowowowowowowowowoow

  6. Good fun with sparkies.
Umm you can put a little plexiglass to protect the cam.

  7. Yes, excellence – excellence – excellence!!! particles and stars!
Steve with his rockets is like Einstein with his theory of relativity!!!

This photo has changed my life:

It is a beginning of a new era (Steve Job’s legacy) and flickr is one of the places where it is happening as we speak. We are very fortunate to be a part of it.
Another thought for me here is how photography helps us with extending the horizons of our thought processes… how many ways to look at the same object while changing perspectives… how many perspectives are in a global society… and how wonderful it is. Add to this what can be visible through microscopes and with the help of telescopes… x-rays etc.. it is not just want is visible. It is how we think about reality as a whole… the structures and modes of our thinking… it is also about how we can connect in so many ways – I just feel like connecting all this pictures into something we have never seen before, a gateway, a portal into our new era, the future that humanity will have…
Also views from above remind me Russian fairy tales (mentioned to Dr.Dad) – how heroin is always a beautiful woman who turns into a bird from time to time… there is some wisdom in it… in a bird view point of view… which brings a different perspective!!!

  8. Great find. Nice shot.
