  3. Those are the launch pad identifiers so that you know which pad you are putting your rocket on and so that the LCO knows which rocket he is launching.

    ABCDE are the farthest out pads for the biggest and most dangerous rockets.

    21-30 are the next closest in for smaller rockets still carrying significant power.
    11-20 are the closest high-power (H impulse and above) pads
    1-10 are used for low-power rockets (≤a to G impulse)
