   Was a wonderful event, sorry that Elon was sick. All speakers were so great, felt like giving everyone a hug, especially magicians:D (and still hate and do not trust Facebook). Elon, Steve and Salmon Khan were my favorite, and interesting Kinect Xbox team story…something new to learn…

    The TC interview was the night before, and the interviewer was shockingly bad. He interrupted Elon mid sentence for nothing in particular and had no energy in his voice. Very strange. Maybe HE had the flu and gave it to Elon. 🙂

    I caught the TC interview when [http://www.flickr.com/photos/jurvetson] you posted it in FB, and actually told you back the comment that I didn’t like the interviewer at all… (you later deleted the post for obvious reasons, you have not read). Awful.

    i am the same way – i have a fake account and only use it to check something… our company is big on facebook too and some social events. I just could not fall in love with facebook, the opposite – opened the account once (instant hate), closed it, opened again – learned a few more negative things (closed it, reopened with a fake name just to use for search if needed).
    Flickr was completely different for me, it was like Apple, Steve Jobs or Bill Gates video with fireflies – just love it instantly. It seems that yahoo might need to sell itself, wonder what will happen with fickr then…
    People who I met on fickr are really special to me. There is a sense of community and being a part of something real and great which extends boundaries of any particular career or hobby, flickr is one of the ordinary miracles. With thanks and hugs to our heroes (staying demure).

    (I hated FB and still do, and will, forever, FYI)

    Now… I second those hugs! Btw, I need a real big hug now, so it would be great to have a hero close by to give a hug to and get hugged back! ♥♥♥♥
