   That was quite an adventure!

   You could have turned over. I notice that your jacket is not tied and that is not safe especially in these conditions.

   The view is spectacular and the souvenir photo accompanies well this day. It really looks as if you had a wonderful canoe ride though. Pictures do not always tell the truth.

   and by coincidence, when we got back the SF newspaper wrote about Mt Tallac, marked above in the notes.

   Here’s the view from our cabin, looking back out to this canoe location on the far side of the lake..
   

   And in the other direction, looking up the mountain from the front door of our cabin (Cathedral Peak, a foothill to Mt. Tallac).
   The morning sky is so wildly polarized (this is a normal cam; I took some polarizing filter shots too, but they looked too surreal)

   and the incredibly cute clone I met by canoe
   

   and now for something completely different, we head into the deep desert to launch some supersonic rockets. My son just read Dune….
