We saw a giraffe staring intently off into the distance, and by now we knew that these watchtowers are great signals for predator action. So we followed her gaze to discover these lions in the bush devouring a small cape buffalo.

These lions are brother and sister, just under four years old. He let her eat her fill before taking any himself. He was evicted from the tribe and is soliciting her continued companionship (since he has a better chance at survival hunting as a pair and defending their kills from packs of hyenas, which is what happened next).

Lions are much more social than leopards.
