When I first arrived, I saw photo of a Tesla on a government vehicle, and then a Konarka solar cell, and then an animated gentleman from the University showed me the uranium at my side and told me that I am being bombarded by a trillion neutrinos from the sun per second. Most pass right through. Some ripped through this cloud chamber leaving quite a large streak (versus the alpha particles from radioactive decay).

  1. Wait, you’re telling me that you’re looking at neutrino reactions in a cloud chamber? I’m skeptical. More likely everyday cosmic rays (muons that are the grandchildren of cosmic protons that smash into earth’s atmosphere).

  2. No, I was not saying that we are seeing neutrinos. It was part of the animated conversation.
