Eight quarter-scale Performance Rocketry Nike Smoke rockets drag race at Dairy Aire 2011.

Seven of the rockets flew on fast-burn CTI K2045 Vmax motors and pulled in excess of 40 G’s!
One flew an experimental Aerotech propellant.

James Dougherty compiled a detailed video analysis, and also also flew the winning rocket off the rail. (It incorporates my son’s launch video and my photos.)

The next drag race with use a long-burn motor and I will plan to fly my Nike Smoke with a side-facing HD video bay. It would be cool to see the action going up…
