wow, very pretty!!! phone camera would not work here… both rainbows and peacocks are fun… great to catch on camera:) only male peacocks are colorful and prissy though… females are ordinary looking…

this is a funny article, it looks females like some weird sounds more than pretty feathers… "For Indian peafowl, which the researchers studied, male vocalizations appear to do a better job of grabbing the attention of females than their visually screaming "attire." Go figure – mother nature:D
maybe humans need to help some here or peacocks will start "signing" (sounds terrible) and lose their feathers… would be sad, they are a real joy for our eyes next to rainbows…

ha-ha, we just have to learn to squeak some common language with them:D
let’s go for it, vennetaj – let’s train them out of this “magical” thinking… no peacock fairies for them… back to its majesty peacock tail… even if the last is some unnecessary twist of glamour in nature… and waste of resources … and why there should be this kind of tail in the first place… maybe nature made a mistake and is trying to correct it by getting rid of these peacock feathers… hope rainbows will stay:D
oh, there is some paradox right there if one can see:D

Very nice. Did you visit volcano national park? This reminded me of a double rainbow I saw in one of the calderas.

to vennetaj – we probably should talk about rainbows here… but sj started us on peacocks.. both are very colorful anyways:)
not sure if there is a lot of variety in tails-trains… funny how female vote counts… overtime, peacocks might drop these fancy tail displays and will start working on "vocalizations"… go figure… so the moral of the story: ladies be careful what you wish for… i need to tell myself:D -
