A dazzle of a day

  1. I had to look at the largest size (original) to see it. I wonder how the music would sound from so far away. Per chance, did you get to hear someone play while you dropped in?

The hotel looks marvellous. I love hotels!

  2. It’s a striking lobby. In the large view the arabesque pattern in the tile resembles the splash of rain. Very interesting image

  3. Nice perspective Steve. Actually think it makes me feel a little dizzy!

  4. where is this ? is it a doug hollis installation?

  5. good angle. i photoed this approx 50 years ago.

  6. Used to be the general public was allowed to ride the elevators up to a certain floor, but when I was there a few months ago that had changed and you had to be a hotel guest to go above the lobby. Did you have to sneak in?

  7. Hang by the elevator during a busy time… makes it easy. =)

Did not hear any music while there, but it looked like the innards of a convoluted harpsichord.

    Vertigo

  8. wow, have not seen this… like how all this conflicting complexity orchestrated in a rather balanced whole… architecture as frozen in time music…

  9. Awesome perspective, it took a minute!
