Someone for Keeper to play with.

It’s is strange to have this one sleep in the palm of one hand, like a Leino newborn portrait, and then wrangle 15 lbs of Keeper

  1. Sorry for adding the note. It was a compulsion. I had no control over it!

  2. heh… and she loves to give nose kisses…. who knew.

    cat nap

  3. so cuute…and playful… she does not have a name yet…

  4. I once had a kitten given to me as a gift at 5 weeks old. The first week, he slept against my neck and as he grew each week, he moved down as he felt more comfortable. Eventually, he slept at my feet. It is very special to have a very young cat. Mine was much too young to be away from his mother and there were consequences. How old is this one?

    Name?

She is most adorable and has lovely eyes and pretty fur!

    Enjoy!

Un très beau petit chaton (kitten). Une très belle petite chatte (female kitten).
Un chat. Une chatte. Cat / female cat.
I call all cats Minou (male kitty) or Minette (female kitty).

  5. 8 weeks…. Looking for a good name…

  6. OK, raw emotions are emanating here…of jealousy…I’m extremely allergic to cats, and yet I see how she could steal every body’s heart…

Our choices for a name: Chocolate, Vanilla, or Snugly (Snuglee?)

  7. Moonlight – her eyes like two moonlight stones…

  8. Your kitten looks like a little star in the heavens. Can that inspire you for a name?

  9. Mimosa, this is not fair:) i would like to see your kitten too, love kittens! and french language:)

  10. Oh, solerena, my apologies. Just now, I create a special album and made the photo available (it was private for a long time). So you can view it.

  11. Merci, love your pictures:)

  12. Given the potential that cute fur has for static discharge, I suggest "Coulomb" or perhaps "Joule", which is a nice pun since no one will suspect when they hear it verbally).

  13. Such a cutie patootie!

  14. Aitäh for the cute kick start to the day.

He who loves cats does not need to control others.

  15. You are getting some great suggestions! As a lifelong cat owner, I can’t help but note that if this were my cat, no matter what name she got, she’d end up being called, "Smoochie baby" and the like. And perhaps "Sweetie honey baby pussycat." (Hey, it’s a Little Shop of Horrors reference!) Ooooh, AUDREY. Everyone will think you mean HEPBURN.

  16. MILOU the french version for Snowball in Tintin =)

  17. whadayamean like an "anne geddes"?
you shoulda said like a "leino" newborn portrait!
    😛

  18. Ragdolls are the cutest!

  19. I agree with Leino and in fact that is what came to my mind when I read it.

  20. Very charming, and a fine counterpoint to my own spoiled cats.

  21. My American cousins who visited India for their vacation thought that Indians were not very creative with their cat names – every cat they ever met was named "Billy". It was years later that it hit them – "Billi" in Hindi means cat! LOL! Interestingly, their American cat was named "Kalu" – cat in some European language (I can’t remember which)! 🙂

  22. or Kiisu in Estonian…. still testing names,… I like these suggestions!

She was looking like a little snowball this morning, with the most adorable paw under-tuck. I like photon’s French version – Milou (and then she would sound like a relation to Leino’s cat Leeloo).

Who is Anne Geddes? Link fixed above… =)

  23. She looks like an Attila the honey bun to me. ‘-}

  24. En français
A cat, male, female : chat; chatte
Kitten: chaton (we also call a cuddly child: mon petit chaton; ma petite chatte)
Diminutive: minou, minet, minette (female) (we also use as terms of endearment for children or lovers: mon petit minou/minet, minette/ma petite minette. I tend to use minou a lot.

    Re photon’s suggestion to you:
Not to be confused, Milou is not cat or a name for any cat but the name of a character which is a dog in Tintin.

  25. I can’t stop starring at this tiny dancer that has melted me into a puddle of goo!
    Puddle? Rocket? Rakett?

  26. She looks like Molly to me so you could name her Molly Laine so as to allow for an Estonian name to be in the picture.

but if you go for brevity and Estonian only, she very well is a Maimu to me (which in Estonian according to the internet means Little)

  27. I repeat… she looks like you and I cannot tell how or why…

If you had a cat version or a cat daughter, she would be something like this.

  28. I go for Pompón… it’s even fun to pronounce…

  29. And sorry to say so, but she (below) is still my fav:

  30. Miss Kitty is sitting in my lap purring away like a small motor boat as I write this.. Every morning she watches me sleep until I open one eye. Then and only then she comes over and touches my beard with her right paw, meaus and won’t stop until stroke her back. A nose kiss usually follows. She is the most affectionate cat we have ever owned.

  31. Hola Tony! How nice what you share with us. She looks very affectionate, but couldn’t imagine that much. I never had cats myself, only adopted "online pets" (pets from friends here in flickr I felt very attached to and follow all the photo updates about!!)… It may be a time when I get one… for now, with my guinea pig is more than enough in my small flat! (and she purrs a lot too!) 😉

  32. Tony, I wish I had a cat that would greet me in the morning. Lucky you.

  33. Gisela, Miche,
Miss Kitty is a very small cat, Fully grown just a bit larger than Snowflake. She has never been outside. She lives in my bedroom and uses my bathroom. A very clean cat. When the door is open she looks outside, but never goes out. I am her best friend now. It used to be Karu our black Chow- Chow, who passed away in 2008. They were inseparable. We all miss Karu! We now have a Corgy, but Miss Kitty and Nutmeg have not met yet. You should get a small female cat, they are so easy to keep and love.

  34. So sweet! I remember that photo!!! Lovely to see them both eat form the same plate. I will follow your advice. I promise you that my next pet, when Snuggles (my guinea pig) passes away, will be a cat, and I will ask you for advise on which kind to buy, and will ask you to put the name to her, Tony. =)

  35. Tony, I wish I had a cat and a dog but no pets are allowed in my building.
Thank you for the details about your pets. It is most interesting that your cat lives in your bedroom and also that your dog lives in the rest of the house. It is like they each have their own apartment. Neighbours of sorts!. ;-))

  36. This is one of the best images ever!
