what a design!! Bizarre!
I see a new animal print pattern here! I’d love to have a jacket like that with that black and white at the back, just like he has.
"When seen in nature, the displays produced by iterative algorithms are attractive to us… Only design can make them garish… =)"
J, I know. It was a nice comment based on the fact that I am a designer myself. At first it looks like a design to my eyes, and I envisioned the jacket. Never meant "intelligent design" if that triggered the clarification…
"What a display produced by iterative algorithms! Bizarre!!" … not that spontaneous it sounds… LOL! 😉
Nope. Actually it is a box fish!
Do not touch!!! Poisonous.
Skin secretion contains ostracitoxin.
Thanks for sharing.
like all good things in life… they make you fat, or kill you…
(or leave you pregnant)
On a more geeky subject, I wish for a device ( could be embedded in the camera) providing the information about the underwater world… what is dangerous and why… although maybe some protective clothing is more handy… not sure…. ignorance is never a bliss and life is about learning one’s lessons from wise people like RM….
came back to add..came from the jacket idea..pictured a silky shirt with that back and the spotty front…i would love that..may be skip the fins please..unless they go for the skirt ..
(whose intellectual property is this :p ..the fish pattern i mean..fish should get credit )
device cool idea
No. Not exotic. Well, it is globally, but it is basically only found in the sea of cortez.
Still very very beautiful. Most colorings on species are to serve as warnings to their predators.
Tree frogs are this way. More color, more toxicity. I just dug around to get more info on this critter.
