Surfing it back to shore seemed natural, or maybe I got lucky leaning enough to avoid a roll. This is the view perched on a swell, with a giddy uprising:
Getting the boats into the ocean was the really tough part.
(The kite surfer in front of me was blurred by a splash)
Best strategy? You just need to ask yourself, "What would Jonah do?" 😉 If it were me, I’d start a fire with those waterproof emergency matches that we all always carry.
Last thing I remember, I was, running for the door. I had to find the passage back to the place I was before… "Relax" said the night man, "we are programmed to receive. You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave"…
I read a paper from 1925 about being swallowed alive a few months back… Thanks to Todd’s odd compendium of biology…
"When sitting in quiet contemplation digesting after dinner, with beneficient microbes hard at work within me, I sometimes wonder if animals who swallow their pray alive are worried by the acrobatic efforts of victims trying to escape."
"Meditations on the psychology of the swallowed suggest that the animal world may be divided into swallowers and the swallowed."
I would suggest that is not the animal, but the whole world that fits into that division…
"The world may be divided into swallowers and the swallowed."
Haha Not sure if you are talking about Tood Hoff. But now that you tell us that…. he wanted to bring us all in a boat trip to the ocean for the closing talk of BIL this year, to go and watch whales….now I am wondering !!!! =P
