    What is it ?

    but this is old school art – air bubbles entombed in glass, twisted as it cools. I went in with a macro focus to the innards of the glass paperweight I found at my parents’ house…

Hot glass, hand made venetian style paperweight, mille fiore or simple optical mold, that would have been my guess….I practiced in art glass blowing for a while and loved the forms and spaces created in massive glass objects. When I first saw this picture my thougts ran to how I’d create a mold to make this. Beautiful, hypnotic, flowing. Thanks.
