   My dentist uses a scanner to make crowns now…
   All pretty amazing…

   Really …you have to see this technology.!!
   The part used in the mouth just does a 3D scan of the tooth.(somehow..)
   That image is sent to a high tech milling machine in the next room that mills the porcelain crown and it can then be applied.
   So its a 1 shot visit.
   My dentist was proudly showing it off…..
   Lots of good stuff from tech…even a Luddite like me agrees.
   These "robots" do not look cheap to produce… but I guess they never go on strike etc.

   Are you nuts ? The MAJOR selling point of these avatars is precisely that they drastically reduce the incidence of workplace sexual harassment cases

   I believe they probably do a great job! As far as the sexual harassment is concerned, I was going to say what a nice pair of "leg" it seems to have. Imagine it could be a turn on for some :-O

    I also thought about "Avatars" as holographic projections… would be cooler – just to have a projection of oneself walking around… or maybe when singularity will start – we will all become just pure energy forms, kinda like having "celestial" bodies made of light:)
