The best flying weather in the Black Rock Desert is September, after Burning Man. This enormous two-stage rocket pays her tribute.

Hagenstick’s big bird weighs in at 425 lbs, with a P motor staging to a P.

She had a perfect flight and recovery (below).

  2. What a fantastic sight it must have made. Was there any payload camera or instrumentation?

  3. redundant flight computers logging speed, altitude, etc. in both stages for sure…. I don’t think there was an onboard camera.
