hrm, in fact, i wonder if farmed algae could help with dead zones caused by overfertilized runoff into oceans. the bloom isn’t the problem, as i understand it, but rather the decay. if you farm out the algae, though, it doesn’t stick around to decay.

Sounds fantastic. Any down sides? Like Algae trying to take over the world, for example.? (well, as a possible sustainable competition to Google, *that* wouldn’t even be a down side, I guess, it’s possible a good thing… 😉
