  1. Reminded me of walking through the Huntington Gardens in LA during a bloom season. Walked past a very large tree with white blooms on it, and heard a strange sound… sounded like high voltage electricity; that persistent buzz that you can sort of feel the vibration of when you get near it, it literally vibrates your body. Kept walking for a moment, turned, and realized the entire tree was alive and moving – pulsing with approximately novemdecillion bees. Quickly beat a path away from that tree’s general area. I was 60 feet or more away and the buzzing vibrated my body; had never seen so many bees in my life.

  2. my frnds bee hive is almost 10 feet tall. He harvested a small amount of honey 50 pounds today. The whole area was humming

  3. advocate – i don’t know what it is. Some strange shrubbery with alien pods… but it made the bee happy.

J-Ruff: Heh, I wish you would have taken some photos first! Insect pile-ons are mighty peculiar.

  4. It might be some kind of dudleya. But just in case it is some kind of alien pod, I wouldn’t fall asleep next to it.
