Out at the high power pads, there were some interesting projects. My buddy Erik had a perfect maiden launch of his wocket (a flying saucer roaring upward, flat-side up). The motor was a large J360 Skidmark, lighting up the field, but it stayed slow and low for a dramatic show.

In contrast, my Binder Thug with BSD blinky nosecone was one of the last launches, and it may have gone the highest (or at least, it landed the farthest away, a dubious honor). We found it while driving home out in an open field.

  1. Really cool photo. Nice work.

  2. I am soooooo happy =) A perfect flight …with something that did not look like she would ever get off the ground, ummm, safely =0

  3. Erik – time for a bigger motor, clearly! Black Rock baby!
