Very sweet. I remember growing up when not every cat you got was pre-spade/neutered. Not that that’s a bad thing, just a simpler time. Having kittens around was such a pleasure. Quick… gotta get off this page before my daughter comes in and wants one!
I lived with two vet students while studying medicine. It’s one of the few things I remember them discussing. If the cats are out of doors you really may not notice. Plenty of my lactose intolerant patients seem undaunted and use it as a laxative! Lactase is not supposed to be an inducible enzyme in cats or humans, but who knows?
