  1. i thought about applying for a job with them last year, unfortunately it didn’t fit my schedule.

  2. Naw, you were just hovering in front of a big xmas tree. That 100f2 makes some nice glitter.

  3. alas, #notaflyingcar though one might appear in your stream first 🙂

sbove; Now I realize how low the light was here… I was pulling all the levers and it still took 1/30 sec at f/2, ISO 6400 and -1 EV exposure.

  5. Yes, didn’t go over my head, natch but does have that new car smell.

  6. Steve:

I just wanted to say how nice it was to hug you at BIL and to listen to your presentation on rockets.

I really appreciate your support of Todd in his offbeat adventures, the friendship you have shown him over the years. I also really enjoy your pictures.

Todd was very young when he first mentioned you as a friend. He mentioned your friendship with such reverence, I knew you must be special. For a long time, I thought all his friends were crazy. I still think they are kind of crazy, but it is such a wonderful crazy.

The worlds all his friends have shown me–especially you–have really been awe-inspiring. I first got hooked on your photos when you took some pictures of workers in China. I am a labor and employment lawyer, so I was interested in their working conditions.

Then I started browsing your flickr pictures and really got transported by the science, the nature, the miniatures, the kind of Jurvetson version of People magazine, with your always unique perspective of all the celebrated and influential people you meet.

I have, of course, wondered what it would be like to meet you in person.

It was nice to do that.

Thank you again for the pleasure of your pictures.

More even, for speaking at BIL and the many, many wonderful experiences you have shared with my son and the worlds you have shown him. There is no gratitude deeper than that of a mother for a person who has been a positive role model for one of her children.

Thank you so much for all you have done for and with him.

    With profound respect and affection.

  7. Namaste! …yours is my favorite comment of the year

  8. @SteveJurvetson. Looks awesome!

When my dad was growing up in Los Angeles it used to only be grasslands He grew up in the same house as my grandfather grew up.

Coincidently. when he was growing up the Goodyear company tore up all the public rail systems in LA. Causing many nice neighborhoods to turn into Slums. Caused a lot of trauma for the people there…

It is great what Sergey is doing however. Im not sure if California is the best place. Car and tire companies simply have too much power and have caused to much harm to the people there over time.

I do however have a seed stage Electrolysis company which looks promising. PM me.
