  3. @venetta: LOL! Great comments, both. I also dont’get what do we find beautiful in them, there must be a nested complex pattern in us that in them is also there but simpler or something like that… I guess?

  4. Extraordinary size even for Calathea majestica and its ilk – the flower stalks are uncommonly tall. Must be the heat.

    Calatheas are widely grown indoors for their foliage and low-light tolerance, though they rarely bloom in office conditions.

    This one looks quite happy.
