At Tabacon, the Arenal Volcano smokes overhead, and the entire river is hot tub temperature, heated by the local magma.

This is one tributary of a network of pools and waterfalls. They seemed to be locally heated, with some areas reaching 42°C / 107°F

    Looks wonderful. Last time I was there (2001, I think) there were rumors they would close Tabacon due to the activity on Arenal. I guess they changed their minds.
