The first of four beautiful eels species seen this morning.

Spent a lot of time with two elusive octopi. Amazing creatures.

  1. Heeeeere little eel.

Seriously though that is a beautiful (snowflake?) moray eel. Great capture.

I used to have an octopus as a pet. They are amazing creatures. If you can get pics of them, that would be awesome. And a challenge…

  2. This is a whitemouth moray. It is a fish, not a herp!

  3. Hi Jurvetson. About to add this to a blog posting at scrubbybush.blogspot.com. I hope I have credited you correctly, if not please let me know via a comment on the blog and I will amend or remove immediately. Thanks for such great photography and for sharing it..

  4. Hi,

I am a graduate student at Louisiana State University in the United States. I am putting together an Educational activity book for our new fish exhibit at the Museum of Natural Science at Louisiana State University. I was wondering if I could use this picture of the eel in the book? I would give you credit for the picture.

  5. sure! All of my photos are free to use forever with a simple photo credit: “Photo by Jurvetson on flickr”

I’d be curious to see how it turns out if you can share the final page layout.
