Just arrived today from Iceland!

A custom design in the making – here it is before the metal clasps (finished product below).

Photo by rebekka, of Rebekka, sporting the sweater hand-knit by Rebekka from a very soft Létt-Lopi wool.

You find some of the most multi-talented people on flickr, and she was among the earliest, in 2005, the year we both got our first SLRs and tried this photography thing…

  5. I love how Flickr has connected so many people, like you and Rebekka, who live on the other side of the planet! I’m jealous that you have one of her sweaters!

  7. Rebekka is a remarkable (word not used lightly) artist…DO NOT MISS her spectacular photography – she captures the haunting mysterious landscapes and waters of iceland better than anyone I’ve come across.

  8. Oh, that’s the best link yet.

I decided to become a photographer in May of 2005.

There is nothing i would rather do."

  9. The person who will wear this gorgeous sweater will have to come to Montréal when it is cold in the Fall to try it out and show it off. Not in winter though because one’s required warm down-filled coat would cover it up.

Rebekka does have great talents. They key is to know them and use them. Wonderful work, Rebekka!

  10. Steve, Rebekka made me a beautiful black turtleneck sweater. Your comments on finding talent are true – there are some really great people out there on Flckr.

  11. Steve you have to watch this video of a little Curious Mind exploring Magical Landscapes in Icelandic sweater. Beautiful !!! You should love it !!! BON IVER (video)

  12. wow, that’s like a magical walk through Rebekka’s photoscapes.

P.S. The animation of the rocks in the very last scene is subtle and sweet.

  13. =) Happy to see you liked it too. Yes the anim is a beautiful and poetic touch =)
Have a great week on your side of the Earth Curious Mind !
