Seems very comfortable with my nearby presence… with an intensity of focus not easily interrupted.

Perhaps the predators’ attention system, not just eye position, differs from their jittery prey….

Filtering out the sundry sights and sounds of the surf
and paparazzi…

  1. If you ever have a chance to visit Hohen Werfen south of Salzburg:

    call ahead and see when the Salzburg Falconry based there is hunting their raptors. They fly/hunt them from the fortress walls. Magnificent!

  4. good idea… Reloaded….Here’s a bit more color, and I cropped the dark end of the histogram instead of boosting contrast.

    above: I agree. wow. Clocked at 242 MPH in the nosedive…. The beak serves as nosecone… and I wonder if the gimbaled feet give active guidance….
