    rosendahl: yeah, we really liked week 7. The lake was warm and the air temp just right, not too hot and not too cold. But alas, we can’t count on it as we don’t have a permanent assignment yet (been in queue for six years). How you do you like June there?

    We’ve been in Week 3 for 15 years. We got lucky early on to get it. We’re the ‘cursed’ week – fire evacuation, snow, 2 day power outage with snow and record cold; but then we get some amazing weeks, too. And the regulars have become lifelong friends – we get together every October in Phoenix. Best of all my birthday falls in that week every year, which is exactly how I’d choose to spend it.

    Still bouncing…. posted a couple photos from week 8 this year. A 15-hour hike adventure yesterday ended in a snow hike in the dark and eventual helicopter rescue at night!
