Nothing quite like a long climb up Mt. Tallac to be greeted by the local critters who make it seem effortless.

Moments later, on the hike down, we received a nice staccato massage by hail.

    They let me get in real close for a macro as they proceeded to stuff their cheeks, which makes them look even cuter, like a cartoon.

    Vox – a highly evolved symbiosis! As for the latin tag, did they at least chuckle in naming this one?

  4. yeah – everyone i’ve ever met from Houston was also quite sweet and inquisitive and – come to think of it – none of them ever complained when i stuffed my lens into their face to capture them eating *

    and yeah! i was going to lower the tone referring to the Latin name; the first misinterpretation i intended to offer is beyond NSFW and completely unnecessary. you know exactly what i’m thinking.
