He’s the man who started dismantling Stalin’s legacy from within the Soviet Union. His hands were also stained, so he could not go as far as necessary like, say, Gorbachev did. Too bad a man like Brezhnev followed him.
Now that we are learning more and better about his doings with our own president Kennedy, he was better than how he’d been portrayed (e.g. the nasty peasant knocking with his shoe on the UN desk).
