  1. Ask Jeeves, or if only the master(s) were as enlightened as the pets…

  2. Good to know. I always thought these things were mutually exclusive.

  3. Agreed.

And it will do just as much good.

I, for one, hope my cat is Touched by His Noodly Appendage.
(erm, that sounded a little beastialityish… but is that worse than cannibalism??)

  4. Hey, I know this place. A couple years ago, I had a conversation in front of that building with a woman who worked there. Christian Scientists have a different definition for science than I have, though she seemed to think it was the same. But obviously we come to different conclusions.

The main thing Christian Science is known for (besides the newspaper) is not going to the doctor… that prayer is the only medicine you need. I hadn’t even considered pets. Is it supposed to be a sin to take your dog to the vet?

  5. DrDAD thinks he’ll create a Christian Science pill to sell on the homeopathic market to wannabees.

  6. related entertainment via the Tree of Life site (Jonathan Eisen; UC Davis)

  7. My cat told me she is an atheist, but sometimes when she’s "on the cat nip" she feels connected to something larger than herself. I told her that is the couch.

  8. Hmmm. Makes you wonder if Christian Scientists, who aren’t fond of doctors take their pets to veterinarians.

And if you don’t pray for your pets, do they go to doggie hell?
