I saw one in the wild one day in Tanzania. A beautiful sight to behold as he slowly moved along the tall dry grasses just below us… Looking for mice no doubt.

Balderdash! The dream of every housecat is to spin around in a swivel chair until he can only run diagonally. But the icebox sojourn is a close second.
Wow! What a wonderful shot. Even if Tigger jumps a lot, it’s hard to capture just the right moment. I love the long lean lines of servals – reminds me a bit of tiny cheetahs.
I’ve noticed my cat favours one paw too. We have a game when we go to bed at night. I have about a dozen kibbles that I toss, one by one, on my bed when I’m in it. Mozza leaps to catch each one – sometimes like a fox pouncing on a mouse under the snow, sometimes leaping to try to snag it in the air (mostly knocks it but sometimes has caught it in one paw) & once, even jumping up & grabbing it in his mouth!
Had another cat many years ago who was a hunter extraordinaire. He’d sit on a roof in the evening, waiting for bats & hook them from the air as they emerged. He ate a bat or two every night until he decimated their population. I didn’t want him to eat bats, both for fear of rabies & because I like bats – they do good. But there was no way to stop him.
