   Oh, I love these sea horses!!! So graceful & facinating to watch in groups in a large aquarium! The Monterey Aquarium is the best! Nice image!

   my fave seahorse. they (normally) float among the kelp in the sargasso sea…the most stunning camoflage ever.

    met Dr. Hamilton recently at the California Academy of Sciences. She is about to study and sequence them on the upcoming 2011 Expedition.

    “Seahorses are the most charismatic of fishes. They have a head like a horse, a tail like a monkey, eyes that revolve like lizards, and they change color like chameleons. They’ve done so much to change their body plan that many people don’t even know they are fishes. They move through the ocean with the grace of a ballerina. Many species bond for life.
