My two outboard H128 motors lit beautifully, but the igniter in the central I200 motor failed to ignite the pyrogen. So the heavy central motor remains unlit.

Then the parachute deployment charge failed to ignite. Since the same flight computer was driving both events, the debugging should be focused…

So it came back to earth in a fast roll (better than ballistic) and smashed into five pieces upon impact, right in front of us.

Here’s the Ground Video of the launch and crash (I edited out a lengthy section of video looking up into the sun, waiting for Icarus’ fall).

Rocket details visible at full size, and successive launch frames are below. The strap-on video cam is clearly straining from the thrust.

    Apparently they need more rocket help.
