   I’d move to the protected "canopy" of my SUV, too, in those circumstances. 🙂

   Heh – not too close for comfort…. Victor caught a video of one coming in about 1 foot from my car in the Black Rock Desert…

   @TwelveX Hehe…I forgot about that one! I’d rather have it hit Detroit steel (or glass) that my head, s’all. Actually, I’d rather be out of the trajectory path completely. 😉

   I have seen puncture testing on helmets and I wonder if motorcycle helmets would help much. If you were hit in the shoulder or thigh it would still be fatal.

    This was just after impact. I was parked nearby, and was the closest person to them at the time… I whipped out the ever-present camera.
