  1. this is unreal …

  2. first time on the top floor. My favorite sight is the over-eager dog sleds threading through the blanket of snow.

  3. Great spot. Never stayed at the hotel.

  4. There is nothing like snow covered mountains with lights! A very lovely view!

The pool reminds me of when I was 18 and had access for one year to an outdoor hotel pool. The hotel is on top of a building so the pool is in a garden on the roof. A gym at the time was connected to the hotel and the pool was accessible from indoors. Swimming in extreme cold in a warm steam-covered pool surrounded by tall piles of snow was fantastic. Have you been in the pool?

  5. Yes! Just too inviting…. and on a prior visit, I saw a glorious sunset from there:

    Fire & Ice

  6. I remember this photo and had added it as a favourite but never made a comment because of the list of comments that kept getting longer. I had waited a while and forgot to make a comment later on. Will do that now.

I hope it was not too cold when you rushed out in your bathrobe to take the photo.

  7. I used to live in Truckee and sneak into that pool on the bottom right at night in the summertime, this picture is beautiful
