He doesn’t looked pleased with the tail pulling. I generally think it’s a good idea to be nice to Big Cats!

This makes me think of how Yume-Neko Smile (Japanese for "dream cat" smile (su-ma-i-ru)) reacts when you pull it’s tail.

American Football players adorn themselves just under their eyes with black goop – supposedly to see the ball better in the face of glare. But here Mother Nature appears to think that a very light colored border under the eye is best for the job. There must be some good reason for this. Maybe camouflage trumps acuity?
But I believe you are mistaken – Kitty’s expression is not one of indignation. It is delicious anticipation of the imminent spin with outstretched claw – that will gouge its way across the tormentor’s face. (Not to be mistaken for a very similar facial expression that is occasionally seen post-prandial – right after the canary is discovered missing)

Oh. ๐
I am very sorry to see that kitty’s expression of displease. I must believe the tail’s puller didn’t mean to pull on purpose.
I bet the tail-puller wanted to caress the kitty as his real intention, but he could only reach its tail and so carelessly pulled it.
People can be so thoughtless sometimes. Poor kitty. :S

scandar: Someone actually made a website of cats that look like Hitler. They’re called kitlers. I’m not making this up you know. ๐

steelhive … "kitlers" is hilarious, one of the funniest things I’ve come across in a long time… (still laughing)

Righteous indignation it would seem? But a fabulous creature…if not an ideal "in-house pet"… ๐

I find wild cats some of the most beautiful animals on the planet! This Siberian Lynx is gorgeous! Indeed, pulling its tail is definitely NOT NICE!
Have you got photos of snow leopards? They are probably my favourite. Only 2000 left on the planet.
ps: my shadow is on a nice "crust" of snow.

I just saw on the news about a baby Sumatran Tiger at a zoo in Jerusalem who was abandoned by his mother.

I have seen this flavor of indignation on a cat’s face before. It usually indicates that the cat’s temperature is being taken.
