Boston was cold this morning, but Chicago is surreal.

The hotel front desk warned us that the building would sway in the wind tonight.

A daily high temperature of -19°C with 45 mph winds should be interesting.

  1. So you will get an idea of real cold. It was -21°C in the day yesterday. It is supposed to go down to -27°C in the night. It is actually the warmest place in my province of Québec. This is a deep freeze. Now, if you went to Winnipeg tomorrow, that is where it is presently and always the coldest place in Canada.

I love Chicago (Boston too)! What a fantastic shot!!!

Did you know that buildings are built to sway in the wind so they do not break? Happy swaying!

edit: it went down to -29C in early morning.

  2. A sweater is something you put on when your mother is cold, or when it is -19°C with 45 mph winds.

    Think of home.

  3. it’s not called the Windy City for nothing 🙂
(even though that’s not the true origin of the name… 🙂

  4. Chicago’s buildings in the wind…rock n’ roll!
This is a very fine image & love the perspective! Keep your mittens on!
