  1. Nice, now I want stars too!

  2. My brother’s just back from that area. Toured the Salk, Disney Concert Hall, etc. Love looking at shots taken by an architect.

  3. You know the hyperdrive never works properly.
Be sure to have a plan B.

  4. I see there’s a guy halfway down… is he surfing the hyperplane??? … is that a new variation of the Ham Sandwich Theorem?

  5. Shooting the Pier!! Looks like fun, but I don’t think I’m up for that anymore 😉

Assume that you have applied the ham and sandwich slicing algorithm "enough" times, so that you end up with a zillion of tiny "non-measurable" partitions.

Banach and Tarski have shown that you can then recombine these partitions to create two sandwiches, each having a volume and composition identical to the original one.

The implication is that you can have your sandwich — or cake, or universe, for that matter — and eat it too, provided you expend "enough" effort and energy slicing up the original

  7. It looks like space station entrance from Elite (C64), but you have to tilt 90 degrees or you will crash. 😉

  8. Hi, I’m an admin for a group called Creative Commons- Free Pictures, and we’d love to have this added to the group!

  9. 1980s hyperspace effects 🙂 Might be more abstract in BW.
