  1. Uh…

"solid propellant motor burned out at approximately 16,000 feet above the ground and Proteus 6 then coasted to an apogee over 70,000 feet"

    It ‘coasted’ 54,000 feet??

    That’s a BIG motor!

  2. Whenever I see these great liftoff shots (a plane takes off, a rocket lifts off?), I always make a "WHOOOSH!" noise to myself. Maybe Flickr video isn’t so evil after all….

  3. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/heet_myser] I share that! (37 months and counting)… I do my own noise also to bring the pic to life (as it asks for)

Hey… J, did I tell you how funny it sounds to me that you say that rockets are a "she"? Didn’t take my pills today, don’t remember 😉 … it’s very funny. In Spanish, rockets are masculine and for the shape, it always kind of looked "obvious" to me…

Do you know where the "she" for rockets came from? For me they are Rockets, not "Rocketesses". don’t you find it a bit like transvestite that a HE looking thing is treated as a she?

    Looking forward to your comeback.
