I need someone to do the Yoda grimace and hand wave to bring these pieces together. As the part fetcher for this project, the out-of-box experience is overwhelming…

• With over 5,000 pieces, this is the biggest LEGO set ever made!
• Model is built completely to minifigure scale – minifigures can sit inside and man the controls!
• Landing gear provides a stable base for model to stand on!

Ever notice how in LEGO product descriptions, the annotated features of a product always end in an exclamation point?

  1. What I’ d like to know is: How on Earth does ALL of the pieces, stand inside that box ! =P

"“Size matters not, … Look at me. Judge me by size, do you?”" =)

  2. Wow. I don’t really like Star Wars, and this appeals to me. Thanks for seeing it and thinking, "Hmm, that’s interesting."

  3. time to set up a time-lapse system for capturing the assembly!

  4. the Yoda grimace? … very funny. I’ve been trying out the Yoda grimace for years now, to no avail. …sigh.

may the force be with you……

  5. That’s cool! Really! I’d like to get that set someday!

  6. Even opening all those little bags is a monumental task.

  7. If it is overwhelming before, it will be more so midway. It is like a university project without the pressure, unless a young one is anxious to start playing with the assembled product and pressing you. With patience and encouragement, you will get through it. Have fun! Bonne chance! Leino’ s idea is good.

  8. Wow. I’d actually be happy to help, if you lived nearby. It’s been way too long since I’ve put together a good lego set.

  9. Leino and !MimosaMicheMichelle! Watch time-lapse assembly here:

Looks like a fun project. I played with empty Mauser gun cartridges, as my soldiers, when I was young, and the big war was going strong and Legos were scarce. Times have changed!

  10. When it comes to kits reproducing tangible physical artifacts — inasmuch as a Star Wars space ship can actually be a tangible artifact — I always found Pocher’s classical offerings much more interesting than these customized Legos… Must be a generational thing 😉

  11. my head hurts by just looking at that…

Good luck to the Team with the new mission.

  12. even tougher because the Falcon isn’t that symmetrical, unlike many Lego sets 🙂

we’re expecting to see the finished product soon!

  13. I would only use it to make my own designs.

  14. A perfect representation of the horrible way LEGO stores their pieces.
