I used to think that ducks stayed dry in the water.

I heard a deep boom in the office, and saw some startled colleagues who watched a duck bounce off the glass. The window had a huge splash on it, like someone hit it with a water balloon.

I had to go see if the duck was OK, and off he went with a twitch of the tail, as if nothing happened… and proceeded to waddle upstream like a salmon on a Stairmaster.

  7. I presume penguins don’t have that problem ..an all

  8. That’s awesome. We have a ton of mallards around the dorms here that hang out in a small creek near here, and unfortunately they sometimes hit the dorm windows. Thankfully, those incidents are rare.

  9. Ducks get wet, but not soaked. 🙂 Nice to know the silly birdie didn’t hurt itself.
