Zeno’s face is soft frubber and quite expressive. He tracks you with in-eye CCDs to maintain eye contact. He is developing a natural language conversational interface. He comes from the mind of Hanson, who dropped by today (photos of alpha model Eva)

The body looks similar to a dancing Robonova.

And he comes with a back story, immersive world, and movie script. (Zeno’s World)

His eyes look like he is always stoned. Perhaps a few more hours of sleep and some eye drops would hel/

The mouth gestures are good though. How does the skin feel?

He needs some sleep indeed, but he´s cute- I like his hair and thunder-like eyebrows.

Talking sleep, how is that biological function for maintainance emulated in AIs?

Todd: the skin was soft and supple. Up close, the color variation looked quite real, and the embedded structures guide multiple wrinkle lines from one actuator.

He is a home run. He looks real enough to respond to, and false enough (cartoon-like enough) to abate the creep-factor of a fake human.

Hmm, David Hanson’s real son’s name is Zeno as well. I guess super-toys really do last all summer long.

It would seam strange, if the movie would become a product -placement for Zeno. Motion pictures (The God of Media) stil seams to be the phenomena that creates brand, but could a brand soon create its maker? If so I think the virtual reality make beleave would need to step out of the silver screen in to physical form and Zeno looks to be just that.

so they use the motion capture en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_capture to move as one would like, he could move like a dinosaur or like a bunny when programmed accordingly. progress: earth – flesh – human/ideas – films/virtual/cilicon – advancedDNA/nano – light…? – ???

i am sure almost anything we immagine is possible some day, unless we destroy ourselves first. If so, do we then go away from the material dimension as it is not challanging to us here any more and we would rather play with the photons… dark matter??? 🙂
