Calving season makes them particularly protective…

Seen today at the entrance to MIndego HIll, a cattle ranch adjacent to Russian Ridge that POST recently purchased to preserve.

  1. At least there is a sign! Once my whole 4th grade class including teacher had to "out run the bull" so to speak on a field trip/picnic at a local farm here in Nebraska. Anyhow looks like a beautiful day to be outside 🙂

  2. What a field test…. Didn’t you just have to out-run the runt of the class? 😉

  3. lol no no it was not a test, it was sorta an accident grumbly old farmer was not sure if the bull was out so the whole class+teacher took "the shortcut" well the bull was out and we all hauled it to the fence that looked much like the one in your photo(minus the sign).

  4. Steve, i was watching a TedTalk this morning (nothing better to wake up… the brain ; )

Vilayanur Ramachandran: A journey to the center of your mind (by the way..the talk is Great ! And i learned to speak Martian "Buba Kiki" =)

  5. Yay for open space! Looks like a fun ride! Getting chased by mountain lions would also be non-ideal, but hopefully they steer clear of the new sights.
