   May this, "hal", have some responsibility in HAL 9000´s name?

   -OK, I searched. Officially it doesn´t ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HAL_9000 ), but, hey, those letters standing for "Heuristic Algorithm Computer" could have been chosen differently: HEAL, or HEAC, or HAC… perhaps Clarke found an inspiration in the old word… :))
