A climbing challenge from le Tour de France…

The roadside graves were a bit disconcerting in the final 11% grade. So I had to take a break and look over the egde.

It can also be quite windy, with recorded wind speeds of 193 mph, but luckily the mistral blew in the day after we crossed Mont Ventoux.

  1. How cool… a "god" (or "looks like from the top of a rocket") view of France =)

  2. Une vue impressionante! An impressive view!
It is a good thing that the winds were not as strong as usual. You could have been blown off the mountain. (seriously). It looks like your feet were having a blast! Great shot and point of view!!!

  3. Mt Ventou! I remember that view well…the limestone/shale is white as snow…looks like a glacier cap from below…wonderful views…and that’s a heck of a climb on a bike!
