Alumaflame!

The experimental N4500 motor exploded soon after liftoff, creating a black rain of carbon fiber confetti overhead. Victor caught our excitement on video.

Notice how the launch pad became unhinged… Good thing the rocket was already underway pointing up, as the pad fell to point straight at the launch line where the RVs and vehicles are parked.

The prior day, Mike did a successful L3 cert flight with this bird using a 98mm Aerotech M-size motor.

    I was looking for some technical details and pictures of the Tintin rocket, and came across the Tintin 2001 Project

    The rocket flew up to 500 m with video and audio onboard. It used a Propulseur Chamois (More info)

    A shame this event was last week and not this one because I have the opportunity to go to S.F this week end. Would have been cool and made definitely my mind to go and see all these amazing rockets =P
