Some photos from the recent Endeavour launch and space walk at the ISS.

Great photos to show the kids.

(not my photo, duh… but I managed to upload a set of photos before NASA did; I believe this one is yet unpublished elsewhere)

  1. Wow, that is very cool, thanks for sharing.

  2. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can you have "All rights reserved" on "not my photo" photo ๐Ÿ™‚ ?

So we can’t share it ? or?

    And the photo is GREAT!

  3. AWESOME, Steve!

(Did you sneak yourself on the flight when you were there to watch the launch? If anybody could pull that one off I think you could… ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I think he sent a Space Probe with one of there rocket in Black Rock Desert. Then from Earth…he was able to go all around ISS…taking picture from the windows..of the outside…and of cours, of Earth : )

Now i get what s happened during EVA2:

    "-Nasa..we have a problem……
    -…ISS…what s the matter ?
-…We feel being watch..by something or someone lately…
-Come on guys….nobody can come up there…
-But Rick say he saw..something from the window…."

  5. Wow! I’m speechless! This is unbelievable.

  6. You really do get around.

  7. "Hey Steve, I can see your house from here…"

  8. Took me a couple of minutes to work out why these look fake – it’s the earth providing the huge blue fill light, and eliminating that space feel of black shadows, burned-out everything else.

These shots are peculiarly dreamy – everything seems to go quiet around me when I look at them.

  9. trying to make out where the land area is not the americas maybe asia I put a question up about nasa cameras thx for sharing steve..
how long will it be before the private sector make it

  11. Thanks! Good to see that this one is not published… and helps me focus on uploading the shots that NASA is not.

  12. This image is stunning, just as I fantazise that earth looks from the space. It looks so blue, so quiet, so peaceful…. Wish it really was that way!!!! And the people working out there… how brave they are!
The shot is spectacular, thanks a lot 4 sharing! Not the stuff you usually find in flickr….

Works by the Federal Government โ€” e.g. NASA, which is a federal agency โ€” are not entitled to domestic copyright protection under US law.

So, even if you were to make copies of, say, an IRS Form 1040 and distributed them for free or even sold them, the Federal Government is, in principle, unlikely to object biggrin

  14. You do get around, doncha?

    ;^)

  15. Amazing view ! did anyone notice New Zealand in the background. The South Island’s Banks Peninsula in the lower left (Christchurch region) and in the top right the North Island’s Wellington region.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

  16. I was wondering about that. Thanks for the ID.

  17. Thanks …. it is an inspiring picture!

  18. I think I can see my house ๐Ÿ™‚
