I head out to Cape Canaveral this evening for the STS-118 launch…. Will bring cameras….

Barbara Morgan has waited 22 years for this launch as part of the Teacher-in-Space program. Mission specialist Tracy Caldwell is also making her first spaceflight on STS-118 (http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/070803_sts118_morgan.html)

This photo shows one of our payload mascots getting some fresh air in the Black Rock Desert before her flight.
